Eco Tec Insulation got off the ground in 2006. After years of being general contractors and property managers, the owners, Brian Holtzman and Josh Johnson, wanted to get into a more specific niche trade, which is where they discovered insulation and, most importantly, spray foam.

Eco Tec Insulation, Inc. chose Chicago to get going, as both owners were born and raised here. We know the city well and are familiar with the construction types from the early days through the mid-70s,80s, 90s, and, of course, the newer construction.

Josh had years of experience managing multi-unit buildings all throughout Chicago. Josh and Brian had a very experienced background in rough carpentry, framing out houses, and new additions. Brian and Josh wanted to get into a more trade-specific niche, which was insulation. Specializing in improving energy efficiency, cutting energy bills, and boosting comfort truly inspired us to launch a business dedicated to quality and sustainability.
